As we all know the human mind behaves like a monkey on speed, jumping from tree to another tree.

The modern world with all the purposely implemented distractions (social media etc.) doesn’t make it better.

Meditation is just the perfect antidote.
You should meditate pretty much for the same reasons that you should exercise:
  1. The benefits are very similar but obviously more focused on the mental side.

  2. While exercise is perfect to get disciplined, meditation will calm and strengthen your mind.

  3. You will develop a laser sharp focus over time!
30 Minutes a day, that’s what you should aim for.

There are multiple variants of meditation. From Zazen to high-tech meditation with muse.

The most basic is to sit comfortably, close your eyes and try to focus only on your breath. Your mind will wander, but it will get better if you do this every day.
